I received your box of cookies-- Wow!... couldn't believe how many of those containers
you were able to fit into the box all beautifully wrapped and packaged. It was like a
present...We thank you for all that you do.

The thought and work that went into these delicious cookies undoubtedly
helps raise the spirits of those of us who are fortunate enough to enjoy them.
I also wanted to mention that, although those of us serving in Iraq and
Afghanistan are faced with a very difficult job, it is our families who
are the forgotten heroes in this war. They are the ones, while facing
numerous challenges themselves, keep our world sane while we're away.
Thank you again for all that you do,
-SFC Rohn M. Fenity

Subject: Cookies
A bunch of cookies arrived today and I am truly in "hog heaven." I love
cookies and it will cost me many extra hours of physical training....but
then again, "God invented the gymnasium so we could eat cookies."
Thanks to all of you for your kindness.

The items you have sent are distributed to staff and troops
and those recovering from wounds or illness and are a welcome addition
to the usual fare. Though not home, the outpouring from folks as
yourselves from the States in no small way is a terrific boost to moral
and the determination to see this through. Thanks so very much.

Thank you so much for your generous gift of cookies...
If I was at home I would be getting ready to make up batches of Christmas cookies.
You all have also figured out the best way to pack the cookies as not a
one was broken. We understand that not everyone can serve their country by coming to
Iraq but believe me your well wishes and special treats are just as
important. Happy Holidays to you all.

I'm sitting in my subterranean office writing awards for our deserving Marines ,,,
I feel good because someone back at home appreciated our efforts and thought
about us. Thank you for your support.. your cookies... and for taking the time
and cutting little pieces of wax paper and separating the cookies. Your attention to
detail and personal touch ensured that they arrived in an excellent condition.

On behalf of the Reconstruction Team, I would like to take this opportunity
to thank you most warmly for the wonderful, delicious, homemade
cookies you sent to MSG Ogburn. We really appreciate the change to
something home baked (and so tasty!) after the many months of dining
facility food or in the worst cases, MREs for days on end. Thank you!
-Sincerely, Cynthia Ehrlich

My nephew, Chief PJ Johns, is a patient @
Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He was injured on the USS
Nimitz in November of 2006 in an explosion and sustained burns over
35% of his body. He is recovering very nicely thanks to all the
great medical help, but also in part by people like yourself that
give from the heart. He shared his container of cookies with me
and his grandmother and your card was inside. I wanted to thank you
for your caring and time in preparing the delicious cookies for his
recovery process... God Bless you!

I manage a Maintenance Facility and the cookies were a hit. We went on a
"mandatory cookie break" and needless to say they were gone in
no time. I manage to keep and smaller container for myself
so I still have a few left. Thank you very much.

I would just like to say thank you for taking the time
for baking cookies and other treats. We currently were in a week long
exercise and they came in handy. Just wanted you to let you know that
your bake goods made it out all the way to South Korea and were all eaten up.
Thanks again.

I recently was given some of your wonderful cookies. Honestly,
I have given up on thinking that there were people who were out there
that actually appreciated what we do as military members serving our
country. Knowing there are people like yourself who are taking the time
to acknowledge the service members makes it all worth it.
I have been seperated from my family for approximently 18 months and I
can't wait to be reunited with them. I went from Iraq to coming straight
here. It takes a toll out of you. I just wanted to take the time and say
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU AND THE COOKIE BRIGADE.

Let me start by saying thank you the treats as the troops here
loved them. They disappeared quickly and were greatly welcomed...
The tempo here is high but the spirits are too, and receiving little things
from home definitely help; especially when it is from someone you don't even know.
The kids also bring a smile to almost everyone who reads their wishes and comments,
because many of us have kids of our own. Well,I have had your card saved and wanted
to send a letter for a while, finally got a chance, so let me say it again thank you.
Sincerely,
-Josh

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your dedication and commitment
to the members of our Armed Forces everywhere. We recently received a
wonderful box of your cookies here at the K-9 section. I can personally attest
that my PT scores will go down because of the many delicious cookies I've eaten in
the last several days. My dog enjoys his treats as well, but I'm not worried about his waist line.
Thank you so much from all the dog handlers. All the best to each of you and your families.
-SSgt Keith Combass and Military Working Dog Carlo

Thank you so much for the box full of cookies and dog treats.
Before I could even open the box my dog was all over it.
I just wanted to let you know that it is a blessing to know that there are
wonderful people out there that think of the deployed troops and their MWD's.
These MWD's work so hard and all they want in return is the love from their handlers.
Once again, thank you and all who were involved in making these delicious cookies.
I had 4 of them right away so I will have to hit the gym hard tomorrow, but they were worth it.
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
-Stacy Harrington
