Yolanda Segovia
Like so many musicians,Yolanda’s earliest memories of childhood include music. By the age
of 12, she was working as a musician. After college, she moved to NYC and began her career
as an audition and rehearsal pianist, ultimately becoming musical director, conductor, and
supervisor for many Broadway Musicals including Dreamgirls, A Chorus Line, and Aida.
Outside the world of musical theatre, as a composer and co-owner of Emerald City Music, Inc.
with her husband, Peter Strode, she has written and arranged original music for hundreds of
national television/radio commercials.
Though currently residing in Riverdale, N,Y., throughout the years, Yolanda has always stayed
in touch with her musical friend, Susan. She is happy to be working with Susan on Cookie Brigade,
allowing old classmates an outlet for expressions of gratitude and positive activism.
